Hi, I’m Kim!
I’m a 25-year old girl with a curious mind, ambition and imagination. I love exploring new places and go off the beaten path. I’m also a cat person, a foodie and a book lover.
Originally from a small village close to Hamburg, I’ve spent the last six years living in the Netherlands, Morocco, the UK and Jordan, while travelling to many more places.
I’ve studied Liberal Arts and Sciences at Amsterdam University College and Middle East Politics and Arabic at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.
I started this blog in 2013 shortly before I began my semester abroad in Morocco. During this time I wanted to share my experiences of living abroad with my friends and family, and having my own blog had been something I had considered for a long time, so the moment seemed just perfect. I didn’t only share my personal experiences on the blog, but also interesting articles that I came across. Initially, its main focus was the Middle East and North Africa.
Now it also covers other topics, such as my cycling trip through Central America and other topics that I come across!
